Open Revolut with my linkReferral bonuses come and go. This calendar tracks when UK referral offers tend to appear, how long they last, and the best times to sign up — so you never miss a bonus.
Most referral and switching offers in the UK are seasonal. They spike around January (new year resolutions), March (wage day payday loans aside, it's when banks push current accounts), September (back-to-school and student deals), and November (Black Friday and holiday prep). Energy switching peaks in spring and autumn when tariff rates are published. Knowing the pattern helps you time sign-ups to maximise bonuses.
January is prime time for current-account and banking referrals. Revolut, Monzo, Starling and others frequently top up welcome bonuses for new customers who order a card in the first month. If you're due a current-account switch, January through March is the sweet spot. Energy switching can also be good here if you locked in a fix that's ending.
Ofcom's energy price cap is usually announced in February and takes effect in April, which is when switching activity surges. E.ON Next and other suppliers often sweeten the deal with extra vouchers during this window. Broadband and mobile switches (Lebara, others) also cluster here as people sort new homes and contracts.
July and August are peak for travel and hospitality referrals — think Airbnb credits, food delivery sign-ups, and coffee roasters pushing summer blends. These offers are often shorter-lived (a few weeks), so act during the summer holidays rather than waiting.
September brings student and back-to-school offers, plus another current-account push. November is referral-central for retail, cashback apps, and Black Friday deals. If a bonus is time-limited, it almost always shows up in this window. December is quieter except for last-minute gift-card and delivery-app pushes.
Most active referral campaigns pause or reduce bonuses in December as providers close their books. It's still worth checking, but January is usually the better time to bank on fresh offers.

Yes — most are time-limited (often 30-60 days) or limited to a set number of redemptions. Check each offer's terms.
In the UK, cash or cash-equivalent referral bonuses are usually treated as miscellaneous income and may be taxable if they push you over allowances. Voucher-style bonuses are generally not taxable. Check with HMRC or a tax advisor for your situation.
Stick to official provider referral links (the ones on this site go directly to the company's own sign-up flow). Never give card details to a third-party site claiming to 'process' a referral.
Only one referral bonus per provider, per person, per offer period. You can't combine multiple referral codes for the same product.
